Dear Friends and Family,
Over the past few weeks I have been calling the health care provider nearly everyday to try to learn of when my surgery will be rescheduled. On Thursday afternoon I received word that the new date is June 30th. I will have to do a pre-operation appointment again the week before as well as the blood flow test on June 29th.
This change has been an unexpected curveball for many matters in life such as my parents already being with us from Illinois to help watch the boys as I recover. In spite of that there is also answered prayer that Laura and I are able to now join the Frontline Church elder’s retreat next week. That was a specific prayer request I had asked for but it was definitely answered differently than I had expected.
Please continue to pray for my health until the surgery as I am still facing many issues that I believe are closely related to the tumor such as feeling like I’m walking around in a cloud most of the time as well as a struggle with double vision and consistent fatigue.
Love you all!
In Christ,
Stephen

“I give you thanks, O Lord, with all my heart; I will sing your praises before the gods. I bow before your holy Temple as I worship. I praise your name for your unfailing love and faithfulness; for your promises are backed by all the honor of your name. As soon as I pray, you answer me; you encourage me by giving me strength. Though I am surrounded by troubles, you will protect me from the anger of my enemies. You reach out your hand, and the power of your right hand saves me. The Lord will work out his plans for my life— for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever. Don’t abandon me, for you made me.”
